Posters

  • All poster presenters must be registered for NORM.
  • Maximum size of 4 ft. (48”) high by 4 ft. (48”) wide. Posters may be smaller, but cannot be larger.
  • You must hang your poster–or have a friend do it for you.
  • Poster boards will be available for posters to be hung one hour prior to the designated poster session and removed at the conclusion of the poster session.

Oral Presentations

  • All oral presenters must be registered for NORM.
  • A speaker ready room is available to all presenters in CUE 316 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 7 am – 5 pm)
  • The presentation computers have the following software:     Chrome, Epic Pen, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, Panopto, and PDF Viewer.
  • It is highly recommended to bring your presentation on a flash drive and to transfer the oral presentation to the desktop of the classroom computer prior to the start of the technical session to simplify the switch between presentations.
  • Please bring you own laser pointer, as they will not be provided.
  • The in room computers have VGA and HDMI connections for connection to laptop computers.

Breaking Borders and Building Bonds

To Break Borders and Build Bonds, sponsored snacks and lunches will occur in the Expo Hall or the CUE atrium, while supplies last. Please remember to thank the sponsors.

The NORM welcome bag will contain a sample model kit. We encourage attendees to build models with other attendees to see what molecules can be built. There will be several flyers through out the conference with examples of molecules that can be built with several model kits (like these 2 kit molecules, 3 kit molecules or 4 kit molecules). Please bring some of your creations to the WIBS Expo booth (#32) for pictures.

CUE 518 is designated as the Breaking Borders, Building Bonds room. In this room there will be several activities (including extra model kits) where attendees can Break Borders and Build Bonds.

The NORM welcome bag will also contain NORM Bingo cards. Attendees can get their BINGO cards stamped by attending various NORM events. Any BINGO’s received will receive a prize at the WIBS expo booth (Booth #32).


Shuttles

All shuttles (hotel and reactor tour) will drop off and pickup in front of the Center for Undergraduate Excellence (CUE).


Events & Technical Program

All events on Sunday June 23rd will take place in the Compton Union Building.

The technical program (outside of the plenary talks) will occur Monday, June 24th – Wednesday, June 26th in the Center for Undergraduate Excellence (CUE).


Dining

The theme of NORM 2024 is to Break Borders and Build Bonds. To Break Borders and Build Bonds, snacks and lunches will be provided in the CUB Senior Ballroom on June 24 and 25, and in the CUE atrium on the second floor on June 26, while supplies last.

Explore dining options outside of NORM sponsored events. Dining options in the CUB consist of: Starbucks, Carlita’s, Freshens, Subway, and Panda Express.

There are many other dining options off campus in the Pullman/Moscow area. Please see the brochures in the NORM Welcome bag for suggestions/ideas.
